Accommodation Services

Buildings that the ministry is responsible for include provincial office buildings, highway storage and repair buildings, health-care facilities, technical schools, museums and art galleries, correctional centres, laboratories, court houses, and historic properties.

  • 774 buildings in 169 communities
  • 506 buildings are owned and 268 are leased
  • total owned replacement value is $1.9 billion

 

Government Services owns/leases and maintains buildings that are used by government ministries and agencies, working with clients to identify, plan, and deliver accommodation services to meet their needs. Primary functions include:

supports ministries in co-ordinating program needs with accommodation requirements.

manages major building projects in the areas of pre-construction, sustainability and energy management, and capital planning.

provides furniture, building maintenance, repairs, and renovations in government-owned and leased buildings.
